JOG-A-THON

JOG-A-THON is Friday, May 1st

The JOG-A-THON is Language Academy’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All of the funds we raise directly support our students, teachers, and school facility.

This year's theme is JUNGLE RUN! Get ready to roar around the track while getting splashed and tagged with color powder!

No donation is too small

Every student that raises at least $1.00 is entered into a drawing to win amazing prizes, and ALL participating students will receive a JOG-A-THON 2026 T-shirt!

How Fundraising Works

Donations can be collected using PledgeStar, our easy online platform, or in person. Regardless of how you collect donations, all students need a PledgeStar account.

JOG-A-THON donations ARE NOT based on the number of times a student runs around the track. Each family member or friend donates a set dollar amount that is turned in BEFORE students run.

Creating your PledgeStar account

PledgeStar is an online fundraising program that makes it easy for you to request donations from family and friends, and make secure credit card donations online! To register visit pledgestar.com/languageacademy.

  • CREATE AN ACCOUNT by entering a parent name and email address, choosing a password, and clicking register.
  • ADD YOUR RUNNER(S) and select their teacher(s). *Middle School - select your 5th period teacher
  • LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT using the password emailed to you.
  • INVITE your family and friends to donate and help us meet our goal!

In person donations

Donations can also be made in person with cash or check.

  • ​COLLECT CASH OR CHECKS made out to FOLA, with the student's first and last name in the memo section.
  • ENCLOSE your donation in an envelope marked with student’s first and last name, teacher's name*, and “JOG-A-THON 2025.” *Middle School students, please select your 5th period teacher.
  • RETURN envelope to student’s teacher or to the front office. 

NEW - 1st Annual Silent Auction!

April 9-19

For the first time ever, we’re hosting a JOG-A-THON Silent Auction! The auction runs from April 9-19, so get your bids in early!

Anyone is welcome to bid: grandparents, friends, co-workers, etc. All items have been generously donated, so every dollar from your winning bid will go directly toward your student’s fundraising efforts once a parent or guardian has created a PledgeStar account.

Volunteer at JOG-A-THON!

Parent and family volunteers are essential to making JOG-A-THON run smoothly, and add to the festive atmosphere of the day.

If you would like to participate on campus during JOG-A-THON you MUST: ​

  1. BE AN APPROVED LANGUAGE ACADEMY VOLUNTEER: if you are not already approved to volunteer on campus, you must fill out an turn in the school district's volunteer application to the Language Academy front office no later than Monday, April 20th, and then be approved to volunteer.

  2. SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER: Register to volunteer at the JOG-A-THON through FOLA's online volunteer SignUp form. 

Individuals who are not registered to volunteer will NOT be allowed on campus for JOG-A-THON festivities. If you are not registered, you may cheer on your students from the Montezuma loop.

The Language Academy volunteer application is available in the school’s front office or at folasd.org/forms. 

The Volunteer SignUp form will be available on April 13th.
